At Seattle Family Acupuncture we practice Traditional Chinese Medicine, sometimes referred to as TCM. Our special focus is on Women’s Health, and Men’s and Women’s fertility; including complementary treatment for clients undergoing ART. We also provide care during pregnancy and after childbirth.
We understand that our patients wish to use the latest technologies and diagnostic techniques of modern medicine, but also want to benefit from what TCM, an ancient but living tradition, can offer. This approach arises from our desire to meet the needs of patients by drawing from the core strengths of each Medicine.
Our individualized treatment plans marry Western medicine with acupuncture and herbs to create a comprehensive, sophisticated health plan, customized for each individual or couple.
See our FAQ for more in-depth information about how TCM works, or Contact Us to speak with our Acupuncturist about starting your unique treatment plan.
Our practice was delighted to find that Johanna was selected a Top Acupuncturist again in 2014. In its 14th year, Seattle Met’s recognition program asks Medical providers who they would refer their loved ones for medical care. 1,300 providers responded, nominating over 13,000 of their fellow providers.
Johanna joins SRM Doctors Nancy Klein and Lynn Davis receiving the recognition from their peers.

Summer is a wonderful season, and many of us don’t look forward to the short days that Autumn brings. But Autumn contains its own delights.
After the vibrancy and activity of Summer, Autumn offers us a chance to slow down a bit and recharge. Many of us find we get more sleep in the Autumn and may have to begin using our Alarm clocks to get out of bed in the dark hours of the morning. Now the focus turns to keeping healthy and enjoying family and holidays.
Take time to savor the slower pace that Autumn can bring, drink in the Fall colors as leaves turn color. Consider adding herbal formulas to keep energy strong and prevent seasonal illnesses. Whole Foods, PCC, Super Supplements and grocery chains carry herbal products to maintain energy and boost your immune system this season and into the Winter.
